How to Burn Incense
Before lighting
Use a stable, heat-resistant incense holder on a level surface. Keep the holder away from curtains, paper, shelves, draughts and other flammable materials. Make sure falling ash will be contained.
Light the stick
- Place one stick upright in the holder.
- Light the tip and allow a small flame to establish.
- Blow the flame out gently. The tip should glow and release a fine thread of smoke.
- Allow the stick to smoulder only while attended.
- Confirm that it is fully extinguished before disposing of ash.
Use incense safely
Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep it away from children and pets. Avoid breathing smoke directly and ventilate the room after use. Stop use if the fragrance or smoke causes discomfort. Follow the safety information supplied with the final product.
